Some of our Jesus Lifehouse pastors were at Hamamatsu conference this week.
It’s a great time of Onsen, eating together, sharing, and sessions with about 700 leaders or so from around Japan.

Ps Robert Morris from gateway church texas spoke in Japan for the first time. He is an incredible speaker in the area of giving and generosity. Amazing!
He told the story's of how he had given away everything he owned 3 times and god had given it back multiplied. The full stories are in his book " the blessed life" the book has been a huge blessing to our church!!
Peoples whole perspective on giving has gotten bigger!

I was excited to see more young guy leading churches now. The older generation is retiring. But this next generation ( like me ) really need coaches in the faith the help them through. I'm so blessed to have always been under great leadership which has given me a growing world view.

After all, though you should have ten thousand teachers (guides to direct you) in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers. For I became your father in Christ Jesus through the glad tidings (the Gospel). (1 Corinthians 4:15 AMP)

This year for our pastors feels like it will be a huge year for our churches across Japan and around the world.
But something is definitely happening right now in Japan and we are right in the middle of it. When people pray for revival, I think we are living in it right now!!

Then He said to His disciples, The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few. So pray to the Lord of the harvest to force out and thrust laborers into His harvest. (Matthew 9:37-38 AMP)

Loving the basics

At Jesus Lifehouse International church Osaka, we dont do a lot of things but we do the basics well.

The basics are so great Because they are achievable by everyone and can be passed on to the next generation.

(Luke 10:21) At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.

Leaders need to be excited about the Basics, especially in Japan. We are constantly teaching people about 3 things.

1. Journaling- Learning to hear from God everyday for yourself. Read a little of Gods word every day and apply it to your life by writing down something you believe God is saying to you. If you miss a day, dont worry about it, just start again and start hearing from god again today. The point is not to be the deepest possible, its to always have a fresh word from God.

2. Simple prayer. – Learning How to talk to God.

We teach people from when they are non-christians how to pray to God. We want to see people pray all the time, everywhere about everything. I love watching out new christians praying simply with confidence. They might not know a lot of big words but they have a heart after Jesus!

3. Keeping your heart clean- Everyday day dealing with todays challenges.

That means forgiving quickly, not having any bitterness or unresolved conflicts in your heart. Keeping good relationships and not having hidden sin. Letting God everyday speak to you about things that need to change and grow and being open to challenge and encouragement.

(Colossians 1:28-29/The Message) The mystery in a nutshell is just this: Christ is in you, so therefore you can look forward to sharing in God’s glory. It’s that simple. That is the substance of our Message. We preach Christ, warning people not to add to the Message. We teach in a spirit of profound common sense so that we can bring each person to maturity. To be mature is to be basic. Christ! No more, no less.
